Superbowl…Other News

I can’t say that I enjoyed the Super Bowl yesterday. For starters the commercials were not that good and the game, at least for me, was disappointment. That should tell you who I was rooting for. The Saints decided that they were not going to let Peyton Manning beat them. They gave all the running lanes to Joseph Addai and put all their efforts to stopping the Colts’ passing attack. Sean Payton had a great game plan and really out-coached Jim Caldwell. He made all the gutsy calls, and the Saints got the right breaks and avoided the big mistakes. Congratulations to the Saints. The Colts should be proud of themselves. They had a great year in a year in which every “expert” predicted that they wouldn’t even win the division much less go to the Superbowl. Peyton Manning, at least in my mind, established himself as one of the all-time greatest quarterbacks and will most likely end his career as the greatest quarterback in history. What he did this year with a team full of inexperienced and unheralded wide receivers (except Reggie Wayne), a non-existing running attack (no 100 yard games this season for Joseph Addai), and a rookie coach is nothing short of amazing. If they can solidify their wide receivers, get healthy on defense, and establish a running attack they can easily be back next season. We will see. I heard an interesting comment by a radio talk show host named JT the Brick (who may be the dumbest talk show host I have ever heard). He said that no one can consider Peyton Manning as good as Joe Montana after the Superbowl. I say that I would have taken Peyton Manning with Joe Montana’s 49ners any day. Okay…I guess that’s enough about worthless NFL talk. Alejandra says that I get so much into the game that it seems like I have money on it…she says that I shouldn’t get into the game because at the end it does nothing for us…”We are still poor.” lol….very true.
I blame the whole thing on Obama. He only picks losers. He picked the Colts to win and that’s when I knew that the Colts were going to get whopped.
In other more important news, Luis Castro is finally moving to Florida once again. He finally got his transfer to the Tampa Airport and he and his family are very excited. So are we. We are looking forward to spending time with him and his family.
Have a great day everyone take care.
