We are very excited to welcome Luis back to Florida. He is here to get his id from the Tampa Airport. He was supposed to go back today but the airport delays are many. We are very excited to have him and his family move to Florida with us. As you all know Luis is like our brother and we have always had such a good time with him.

I can’t say that I enjoyed the Super Bowl yesterday. For starters the commercials were not that good and the game, at least for me, was disappointment. That should tell you who I was rooting for. The Saints decided that they were not going to let Peyton Manning beat them. They gave all the running lanes to Joseph Addai and put all their efforts to stopping the Colts’ passing attack. Sean Payton had a great game plan and really out-coached Jim Caldwell. He made all the gutsy calls, and the Saints got the right breaks and avoided the big mistakes. Congratulations to the Saints. The Colts should be proud of themselves. They had a great year in a year in which every “expert” predicted that they wouldn’t even win the division much less go to the Superbowl. Peyton Manning, at least in my mind, established himself as one of the all-time greatest quarterbacks and will most likely end his career as the greatest quarterback in history. What he did this year with a team full of inexperienced and unheralded wide receivers (except Reggie Wayne), a non-existing running attack (no 100 yard games this season for Joseph Addai), and a rookie coach is nothing short of amazing. If they can solidify their wide receivers, get healthy on defense, and establish a running attack they can easily be back next season. We will see. I heard an interesting comment by a radio talk show host named JT the Brick (who may be the dumbest talk show host I have ever heard). He said that no one can consider Peyton Manning as good as Joe Montana after the Superbowl. I say that I would have taken Peyton Manning with Joe Montana’s 49ners any day. Okay…I guess that’s enough about worthless NFL talk. Alejandra says that I get so much into the game that it seems like I have money on it…she says that I shouldn’t get into the game because at the end it does nothing for us…”We are still poor.” lol….very true.
I blame the whole thing on Obama. He only picks losers. He picked the Colts to win and that’s when I knew that the Colts were going to get whopped.
In other more important news, Luis Castro is finally moving to Florida once again. He finally got his transfer to the Tampa Airport and he and his family are very excited. So are we. We are looking forward to spending time with him and his family.
Have a great day everyone take care.

I was able to download an app for wp to my bb. I guess it will be easier to update from here. Things have been hectic here in the hotel where our team is staying, but nevertheless a fun, learning experience.
The hotel is located in front of the ‘malecon’ or beach. It is a very nice view from my window. Every night I fall asleep to the sound of waves crashing on large rocks. It’s great.
I hope everyone back home is doing well. I am missing everyone, but enjoying work in the Dominican Republic.

I took this video of my two dogs playing around. The video actually ends at about 45 seconds because they get tired and start scratching. They have a problem with something called demodex mites. They are a real pain and difficult to get rid of but we are trying.

To say that it has been a busy week for me would be an understatement. Things have picked up and it has been work, work, work. School also has gotten really difficult and even our professor said that he was going to try to bring the workload down a notch. The “life” I once enjoyed has to be put on the back-burner while I get through the mind-numbing work ahead. Such is life, I guess.
I am happy to report that Ale is doing just fine. Yesterday she had a general checkup and everything was great. I, on the other hand, am getting attacked by a cold virus. The enemy has lined up its forces and is fiercely attacking my strongholds trying to force me into bed. My defenses weakened for a while but have come back and are holding up strong. Ale says that my workload and increased stress causes my body to weaken but there will be plenty to time for rest after April.
Jafet is now in the Dominican Republic. He left last Saturday and is now safely in an undisclosed location in the DR busy at work. He will be there until Spring Training gets started at which time he will return and work from here.
Did you all see that Katie Couric may have to take a paycut?!? 14 million a year is a bit of a steep price to pay for someone who is dead last in ratings. I guess it just goes to show that talent without content cannot deliver ratings. Couric should look at the bright side…She is an Obama supporter and Obama doesn’t want anyone to have enough money to go to Vegas…I guess in that regard she can fall right in line with the President.
Well people, I guess its time for me to get back to work. I have a test tonight and a bunch of deadlines to meet. Be good.

We went to see Luis who came to visit from Chicago. He is staying with Chega who just recently purchased a home. It was great to see Luis and Berenice and their children. It was also nice to see Chega again. Luis started cooking and he almost lit the place on fire.
Today is Berenice’s birthday and she is 21 years old…right?…We wish her a happy happy birthday.
Today is also the last day that Jafet will be with us for a while since he leaves for the Dominican. We will miss him but he will be back soon.

Josue begged me to be a contributor to this site and I agreed. I just wanted to say that time has flown… I arrived to the US on December 9th and I have enjoyed my time here in Lakeland working, eating out, going to church, watching a ton of movies, catching up on the office episodes, Srubs episodes, and parks and recreation episodes. I also saw all of the Harry Potter movies with Josue and Ale, which are all very entertaining. Spending time with my family was so much fun, that for a month I forgot they were Hispanic- haha =)
I did miss the good company of some of my friends and ‘girlfriends’… Funny how SOME people wait to ‘wanna hang out’ the last day- when packing and getting ready to go is a priority. Mmmmmmm… ha ha
Anyway, I will be flying tomorrow to the Dominican Republic and will be returning on February 23rd to prepare for Spring Training… I am looking forward to my three weeks in the DR, things will be different, and very busy.
Now, I have to go shopping for things to take.

LETS HOPE THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN… =)
